ABOUT THE AUTHORS:  Dr. Molly Thomas Kappil is currently a professor in natural sciences and has been nominated in the "who's who among college professors" five times. Dr Kappil is the consultant for the manual.  Thomas Cherian, the author, is an M S in environmental and safety management and has been associated with the healthcare industry for over a decade. The trainers/authors are authorized OSHA trainers from OSHA TRAINING INSTITUTE, MESQUITE, TEXAS.

In addition, the trainers are authorized to provide 10, 20 and 40 hours training to General Industry including healthcare and issue verifiable OSHA certificates. These training will enable the trainees to further train their own staff. Additionally, the authors have extensive experience in clinical settings and have provided extensive safety consultations to healthcare facilities.
