My dentist does not comply w/ osha regulations. I am a nurse and know what is and isn't correct. How can I get his office inspected?

Sara,
You did not tell me which state you are from? If you are from one of the 22 states that has state plans, you can call the state OSHA office and tell them the situation that is occuring at your dental office. If you are from a state that does not have state plans, you can call the regional office of federal OSHA. Here is the website that you can receive that information:

Please make sincere efforts to have your employer understand the need for OSHA compliance. Your employer must see the rationale behind complying and the ease with which it can be done. Good luck !!!

A Nashua dental office has been fined by the U.S. Department of Labor for allegedly ignoring health and safety laws after an employee was accidentally pricked with a blood-contaminated needle.

Simple concepts and procedures were obviously neglected at this facility. Compliance to OSHA regulations is extremely easy and simple. Neglecting them may sometimes prove catastrophic.
