Osha Coverage

OSHA coverage for a veterinary facility consists of two major elements: training and record keeping. An extensive list of OSHA standards relevant to veterinary office training has been included in our manual (refer the list below). Veterinary facilities are exempt from a few provisions of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard when employees are not exposed to human blood. However, OSHA recommends voluntary compliance of all other provisions of the standard. Veterinary employers must comply with chemical hazard communication standard that is one of the pivotal standards (most OSHA fines at vet facilities occur under this standard). The revised Hazard Communication Standard under the new Globally Harmonized System (GHS) has been simplifiedRecord keeping forms, biohazard and GHS labels, federal and state posters are some of the materials that will be included with the package. Order Now
