Osha Coverage

Veterinary facilities are exempt from a few provisions of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard when employees are not exposed to human blood. However, OSHA recommends voluntary compliance of all other provisions of the standard. Veterinary employers must comply with Chemical Hazard Communication, which is one of the pivotal standards.
