“Do employees who strictly work from home need to be OSHA trained?”

OSHA applies to work performed by an employee in any workplace in the US, including the employee’s home. Employers are required to furnish a place of employment free from recognized hazards even at home. That being said, in home office situations, office work activities don’t necessitate significant oversight from an employer. There are training topics that are relevant for these employees, such as ergonomics, electrical safety, reporting injuries/illnesses, etc, and you may consider training them on these select topics.
