Osha Coverage

OSHA coverage for a medical facility focuses on two mandatory requirements: training and record keeping. Our compliance manual prepared by  authorized OSHA trainers helps navigate employers through the regulatory maze. Bloodborne pathogen standard, frequently cited standard for a medical office and the revised hazard communication standard under the recently introduced Globally Harmonized System (GHS) have been illustrated and simplified. Since OSHA's General Duty Clause extends well beyond known hazards and gives OSHA far-reaching authority to cite facilities for workplace hazards, our manual covers a wide range of hazards faced by health care facilities. General Duty citations for medical offices reached a record high in 2013-2014 inspections conducted by OSHA. Healthcare facilities also face a challenge when it comes to administering JCAHO. Please read some of the differences between JCAHO and OSHA compliance programs.
